my videography career started my sophomore year of high school where We had a Video production career tech course. I was asked to assist with the video announcements every morning, and we were lucky enough to have a professional broadcasting room thanks to a local news station who donated an entire production set, all the way from the switcher boards to the cameras.
After High school, I chose to get a Bachelors Degree in Music Technology at Georgia State University, where my individual focus was on recording audio for film. Here, I was able to get hands on experience recording and mixing in professional studios under the supervision of Dr. Robert Thompson. For my final project in my program, I elected to strip audio from movie scenes, then record and mix in new Foley sounds to fit the scenes.
While finishing my music Technology program, I decided to do a voluntary internship with the Georgia State Marching Band which I had been a part of the previous four years. the band was pleased with my performance so much that they hired me to shoot a highlight video for a marching band competition they hosted. Through this event, I was able to connect with Amy Walker, the producer for Georgia State Athletics, where I soon after started picking up production gigs.
Following graduation, I worked full time for KEH Camera as a camera Tech for two and a half years where I was able to get priceless, hands on experience with all genres of cameras across the spectrum. After proving myself, I became the lead tech for drones and Video Production equipment. During this time, I was picking up more creative and production freelancing gigs on the side. I also met Horn Photography + Design through a friend's wedding, and soon after signed on to be their Wedding Videographer.
Since July 2021, I have been freelancing Full time.
I Work regularly with Georgia Public Broadcast (GPB) and production companies in the Atlanta Area as a camera Operator and have had the opportunities to be a camera operator at events with presidents, governors, ambassadors, and other world leaders and high profile individuals. I have continued to collaborate with the Georgia State Marching Band, and have expanded my reach at GSU to produce, shoot, and edit videos for Athletics, the College of the Arts, The Robinson College of Business, Georgia State's Perimeter College, Rialto Center for the Arts, and numerous clubs and groups. I am the Technical Director for all of GSU's in house shows for basketball and football, and I am a camera operator for the remaining sports. I still work regularly with Horn Photography + Design for weddings and have also branched out on my own to shoot and edit weddings.
Anything from sports to weddings, Corporate events to concerts, and anything in between, I am there.
